Meet Dr. Dora K. Gavros

Improving Lives, One Person at a Time

I’ve practiced dentistry for 23 years. During that time I’ve met so many wonderful people, learned their stories, and built real connections while helping each person develop a smile they love.

I deeply cherish serving a small community of amazing people. I enjoy getting to know each and every patient and I love building relationships with an entire family: I see and care for grandparents, their kids, and their grandkids. I treasure that the whole family has the same dentist and that I get to visit with them when they come in!

For me, dentistry is about changing lives. Our oral health is closely tied to our body’s health: What happens in one affects the other. It’s important for people to understand that connection so they’re able to develop overall wellness along with a great smile.

My team and I provide a lot of education and encouragement. We support patients as they develop better habits and take better care of their health. We want everyone to have a healthy mouth and healthy body, and to feel good about their smile!

Beyond the Practice

I grew up south of San Francisco in Burlingame and Belmont. Tiburon has been home to my husband George, my two daughters, Zoe and Daphne, and myself for many years. I treasure our family time, especially our summer vacation at our family home in Greece.

We’re active in organized sports and travel the country for Volleyball. I’m also very active in the San Francisco Greek community and am honored to serve on the board of the Marin Ballet.
